The best thing about starting a New Year is the opportunity for a fresh start. As this year comes to a close, take a look at next year’s marketing strategy and make some resolutions that you can keep! Here are some ideas:
Build a Strong Online Presence
Figure out which social media outlets best suit your company, then look at a calendar and plan your posts accordingly. Use holidays, local events and current events as inspiration. Remember that outlets like Twitter have a limited word count, so make sure your posts fit the criteria. Find or take fun photos to go with every post. Most importantly, make sure your posts help your website’s SEO by including keywords and links/tags that will drive site traffic.
Attend Events
They say that one of the most important things in life is just showing up. One of the best ways to market your business is through face-to-face interaction. Whether you register for a table at a trade show or sign on for some networking events, make it a goal to get out of the office and into the crowd!
Track Your Progress
As things get busy, it can be hard to remember to stop and check in on your company’s performance. Schedule a recurring monthly meeting with your team to talk about progress and whether you’re meeting your goals. Make sure that everyone understands your key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor your results to identify and correct issues quickly before they become greater problems. Pick an easy day/time that everyone will remember. For example, the first Tuesday of the month at 10 am (to look at last month’s numbers and plan for this month). Go ahead and send out the calendar invites now! This will be an easy resolution to keep!
Focus on Customer Engagement
What are two things that you could do for your customers this year? Perhaps you’d like to host an open house and thank everyone with some yummy treats and festivities. Or maybe you’d like to share better information with them to demonstrate the value of your services and help maintain their loyalty over the long term. . Whatever it is, plan it and make it happen! Your customers are the core drivers of your business, and they’ll appreciate you more if they know that they’re getting the best possible service from your company.
